I don’t usually make any new year’s resolutions. I used to think that it was a bit pointless to make a bunch of goals that I wouldn’t stick to. However, I see them in a different light now! I think it’s great to have goals to aspire to, but only as long as they are simple ones. There’s no point creating goals that are almost impossible to achieve, so my advice would be to keep them simple and achievable. I’m really looking forward to 2013 and I hope that it will be my year!
With that said, here are my resolutions for 2013:
Keep Blogging – I’ve only had this blog for a little while but I have really enjoyed my blogging experience so far! I’ve enjoyed writing blog posts about the things I love. I’m also very grateful for my followers and the lovely comments that I receive on this blog.
Write More – This year, I plan to write a lot more in my spare time. I love creative writing so I want to write some more stories. I also have written some non-fiction pieces and hope to get some more published this year.
Read More – I have to read a lot of books for my university course (I study English) so this goal will certainly be fulfilled! But I hope to find time to read books that I’ve chosen to read.
Work Hard – I’m in my last year of university and it’s so stressful! There’s so much coursework and reading to do. Not to mention, the 10,000 word dissertation due in April! I need to stay on top of my work this year!
Make Memories – With friends, family, my boyfriend – I plan to spend lots of time with all of them and create some wonderful memories this year!
Spend Wisely – I wouldn’t say I’m too bad with money, but I still could be better at saving! When looking at a pair of boots in a shop, I will now ask myself “Do I really need this?!”
Travel – If possible, I hope to travel this summer! I’d preferably go somewhere abroad, but if not, I’d be fine visiting different parts of England. Maybe.
Learn to Drive – I’m twenty one, it’s the perfect time to start driving. I’ve always put this goal off but I’m determined to achieve this in 2013.
Happiness – And last, but certainly not least, I want to have a happy year! The best year yet 🙂
And now, I’ll leave you with some inspiration 🙂
