Giovanni is a natural brand with principles that are based on beauty from the elements and beauty from within. Although they also offer skincare, the majority of Giovanni products are for your hair. With formulas containing vitamins, herbs, minerals, proteins and nutrients, their products are definitely a treat for your locks! As I’ve been using Giovanni’s 50:50 Balanced Hydrating-Clarifying Shampoo as well as the Weightless Moisture Direct Leave-In Conditioner for a while now, I thought now would be the perfect time to review them! Here’s what I thought:
This shampoo is excellent for removing buildup and excess oils in your hair. To use this, Giovanni recommend massaging this into your hair and scalp, and then rinsing it out thoroughly. Every time I’ve used this shampoo, my hair has been left squeaky clean and shiny – which is great! Although this feels less harsh and more hydrating than other clarifying shampoos I’ve tried in the past, this is not something I would use every week, let alone daily like Giovanni recommend. This is because I found that using it even just once a week left my hair a little dry. Having said that, using this product every 3-4 weeks works really well. That way, you can effectively strip your hair of buildup and avoid stripping your hair of much-needed natural oils.
To use this lightweight leave-in conditioner, Giovanni recommend applying it to damp hair and combing it through to distribute evenly. After shampooing and conditioning, I’ve been rubbing a little of this product into my hair for an extra hydration boost. It leaves my thick curly hair moisturised, super soft and defined. I find that my hair is much easier to detangle after using this too. This leave-in is designed to repair your hair as you go through the day. The formula goes directly into each hair strand and infuses it with proteins. Because of this, I’ve noticed that my hair looks and feels a lot healthier after I’ve used this. If you have thick, dry thirsty hair, then I’d highly recommend giving this a try!
Have you tried any Giovanni products?
