Happy Friday, friends! I hope you’ve all had a great week. I realised the other day that although I regularly review beauty products here on the blog, I haven’t really gone into detail about my everyday makeup routine. So, that’s what I’m sharing today! This makeup look doesn’t take me much time at all and because it’s minimal and neutral, it would be perfect to wear to work or school. It’s an all-natural makeup look, so all of the products are filled with great ingredients and contain no nasties. On days when I wear makeup and want a neutral winged makeup look, this is my routine:
Firstly, I apply Lily Lolo’s BB Cream in the shade “light” using a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. This BB cream provides a light coverage and a really nice, natural-looking complexion, so it’s perfect for an everyday look. I love the healthy, radiant glow it gives my skin. Next, I apply the Benecos Natural Concealer in “light” to cover up my dark circles and any blemishes on my skin. It’s really good at covering up imperfections with long-lasting moisturising results. I find it works the best when you blend it out with your fingers.
As my eyebrows are very light in colour and sparse in places, defining my brows is a step that I can’t miss out. Oh, how I wish I naturally had “on fleek” brows! Using Lily Lolo’s Eyebrow Duo in “light” with a Real Techniques Brow Brush, I fill in my eyebrows in short strokes until I get my desired look. I really like this product as the colour match is pretty good and it gives me the natural-looking brows I aim for.
For eyeshadow, using a Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush, I apply Benecos’ “Frozen Yogurt” all over the lid. It’s a light peach matte shade that applies so easily due to its soft, buttery smooth texture. Because I’m all for multipurpose products, I use the contour shade in Lily Lolo’s Sculpt and Glow Contour Duo in the crease of my eyes to add some depth and dimension. I always use Real Techniques’ Deluxe Crease Brush to do this as it’s the perfect size and density. I also apply the highlight shade in the contour kit to the inner corners of my eyes as I find that it really makes your eyes pop!
After not using liquid eyeliner for a while, I’m really into it again! For this look, I use Lavera’s Natural Eyeliner. It comes with a precision applicator brush, which easily helps you create a defined stroke across the lid as well as a winged out look. For mascara, I apply Green People’s Volumising Mascara. I’m a big fan of this product as it leaves you with super long, voluminous, clump-free lashes.
I don’t tend to bother with contouring for an everyday look, but often I like to add some warmth to the face with a bit of a bronzer. I actually use the darker shade in the Lily Lolo Contour Duo for this. Even though it’s made for contouring, I find that it works well as a bronzer because it’s quite warm toned. Using Real Technique’s blush brush, I apply it underneath the cheeks and also take it up towards the forehead. Using the highlighter shade in the same contour duo, I then apply some to the tops of my cheekbones for an instant glow.
To finish off the look, I apply Green People’s “Damask Rose” Lipstick. It’s a beautiful ‘your lips but better’ nude-rose hue that actually feels really comfortable and moisturising on the lips, despite its matte finish. It’s definitely one of my favourites!
I hope you like my all-natural makeup look! What are your everyday makeup favourites?
