As summer is drawing to a close, I thought I would share the natural beauty products that I enjoyed using the most during the month of August. I’ve got a mix of new discoveries and old favourites that I just had to share with you…
I’ve been reaching for aloe vera gel often recently as it’s an amazing multi-purpose product. My hair is usually very dry, but I’ve found that the gel is excellent at adding in moisture. I often do twist outs or braid outs on my hair after I’ve washed it and have found that the aloe vera gel helps make my curls more defined. The gel also greatly benefits your skin. With anti-inflammatory and cooling properties, it’s perfect for rubbing on irritated skin as it speeds up the healing process. Very handy stuff!
This fast-absorbing lightweight cream hydrates and softens the skin. I love the fact that it moisturises and nourishes the skin without leaving it looking greasy; it agrees with both my oily T-Zone and the drier areas on my face. I’ve been using it every single day and love how healthy it leaves my skin looking and feeling.
This has been my go-to lipstick shade all summer. It’s a very pretty dusky pink with a glossy finish. As it’s enriched with vitamin E, sunflower oil and organic jojoba, this lipstick is very easy to apply as it’s moisturising and has a smooth, creamy texture. I’ve got a few Benecos lipsticks already, but I would purchase more because they’re affordable yet high quality.
After I’ve moisturised my hair, I’ve been rubbing in some argan oil as a sealer to keep in the moisture. I really like the fact that it’s a light oil as it penetrates the hair shaft easily. I notice that my hair looks so much shinier and healthier after I’ve applied the oil. Although I’ve only been using it in my hair, argan oil is really good for the skin too, so I’m definitely going to be trying it as a moisturiser.
This body lotion has the most amazing lime and coconut scent. It has a pretty impressive ingredient list too. Rosehip, Avocado, Jojoba Oils, Shea Butter and Cocoa Butter help to nourish, hydrate and smooth the skin. Aloe Vera, Nettle, Horsetail and Burdock help to restore moisture. Whenever I apply this, my skin feels super moisturised, soft and silky smooth all day long.
Have you tried any of these products? What have you been loving lately?
