Hello! Happy Friday loves.
I decided to film a “what I eat in a day” video over on my YouTube channel. I thought it would be cool to film some of the meals I make that are both healthy and easy to put together. Personally, I love watching these kinds of videos myself. They’re great for gaining inspiration on new recipes to try and ways to eat healthier. In the video, I shared an example of what I eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything in between.
Watch the video below or read on to find out some of my simple, go-to meals….
Breakfast: Porridge with Strawberries, Raisins and Honey
Having oats for breakfast is a really great way to start the day. It gives you a huge energy boost and is packed full of vitamins and fibre. Not only is it a healthy breakfast option, but it’s really tasty too. I like to add fruit to my porridge as well as a little bit of honey.
Mid-Morning Snack: Honey Banana Smoothie
I love this smoothie because it tastes great, has a touch of sweetness and the most amazing creamy texture. I’ve already shared this delicious smoothie recipe on my blog here.
Lunch: Tomato Pasta
This meal is flavoursome and satisfying, despite it being super simple to prepare. I love a simple fresh tomato sauce on pasta.
Afternoon Snack: Almonds
Almonds are an amazing source of healthy fats, fibre, protein, magnesium and vitamin E, so they’re a great snack to add to your diet.
Dinner: Rainbow Trout
For dinner, I had rainbow trout served with basmati rice and brussel sprouts. This meal is one of my favourites as it tastes delicious and only takes under 40 minutes to cook. Fish is a great source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids.
So that’s an example of what I eat in a day! What are some of your healthy go-to meals?
