As I mentioned in this post, I’ve decided to go down a more natural route with my beauty products. I recently purchased some natural and organic skincare products and thought I’d make a video sharing my first impressions on them. Watch the video below or read on to find out what I thought of my latest buys:
The first product I got is the Organic Surge Daily Care Refreshing Face Wash. This cleanser is enriched with a blend of Organic Aloe Vera, Rose Geranium Leaf and Natural Glycerine. 99 % of the total ingredients are from natural origin and it’s also cruelty free. This cleanser has a clear, gel-like texture and easily removes make-up, dirt and impurities. It’s a very gentle formula, so it’s suitable for sensitive skin. I always notice how refreshed and clean my skin feels after I’ve used this.
Next up is another Organic Surge product – their Blissful Daily Moisturiser. This product is enriched with essential oils of Sweet Almond and Lemon and like the previous product, 99% of its ingredients are from natural origin and it’s cruelty free. I’ve been loving this so far as it’s the perfect everyday cream – it’s lightweight on the skin and non-greasy. It renews and deeply hydrates your skin, provides antioxidant protection to defend against environmental aggressors and soothes and rebalances oily and dry zones. It’s also suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin. I love how soft and radiant my skin looks after using this. It really rejuvenates it!
I also purchased the Laidbare Pore Minimiser Facial Masque, which aims to reduce the size of your pores as well as cleanse and hydrate the skin. This product has some amazing ingredients: Kaolin Clay to draw out impurities and toxins, Japanese Seaweed Extract to detoxify and smooth the skin, Shea Butter to give hydration and condition the skin, Liquorice to help minimise inflammation and Rosewater to soothe irritation. This leaves my skin looking and feeling so soft and smooth. What’s more, it also seems to clear my skin quite a bit too. So far, I haven’t noticed a real difference with my pores, but it may be that I need to use it for a bit longer to start seeing that difference.
Another recent natural purchase of mine is the Bia Beauty Lime Pie Lip Balm. It’s all natural and made with lime essential oil, honey and organic fruit aromas. This stuff smells great – it’s really fresh, sweet and zingy. It keeps your lips super moisturised for such a long time, so it’s definitely going to be a handbag essential for me during these colder months.
I also got an Organii Liquid Soap – the neutral, fragrance free version. If you’re looking for a fuss-free organic liquid soap then I’d definitely go for this product. It’s creamy in texture and feels lovely on the skin. It’s made with Organic Olive Oil and it gently cleanses and moisturises the skin. You can also use it as a hand wash and to clean your makeup brushes, so it’s a great multipurpose product.
On the website I purchased these products from (lovelula.com), you also get to add a few samples to your basket. I picked up the Madara Sunflower Tinting Fluid, a light fluid that tints, illuminates, lightly moisturises and evens out the skin. The Ren Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream, designed to hydrate and soothe sensitive skin. And Santaverde’s Aloe Vera Cream, which calms and soothes the skin.
